A. Yes! Men (and all genders) are welcome as performers and co-creators. But the MAIN creator needs to be a self-identified woman or a non gender conforming artist.
Q. What Art forms are allowed in the festival?
A. The festival is open to ALL art forms. Get creative!
Q. What is the technical capacity?
A. Due to the complexity of the production, we suggest a low key tech score. All artists are responsible for making sure their pieces are well represented. If you are a visual artist, we encourage you to keep track of your piece/installation throughout tech week and performance weekend.
Q. What time are the Works in Progress?
A. The times are decided within the cohort to best accommodate selected participants.
Q. What if I cannot make all the required dates for the Works in Progress?
A. The Works in Progress is one of the perks that sets us apart as a process-based festival. It is required for the creators to be present. In rare occasions, we allow a team member to represent the group/team instead. Please contact us if this is a concern.
Q. Does my entire group/band need to attend the Works in Progress?
A. No. You can document the process via video, and we can watch it together.
Q. What if I can't find a mentor? Should I still apply?
A. Yes! We can definitely help you find a mentor that suits your craft.
Q. I don't have a website. Can I still apply?
A. Yes. Submit your blog, Instagram, or anyway in which you showcase your work in social media.
Q. I need help with the application. What do I do?
A. Email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'll walk you through it!
