About Danza Orgánica
Danza Orgánica is a movement. We embody dance as a vessel for social justice—through our creative practice, our community-rooted work, and our annual We Create Festival.
Danza Orgánica is a Boston-based dance theater company led by BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists, dedicated to creating socially engaged art through performance, community collaboration, and education. Centering partnerships with BIPOC communities, we collaborate with groups such as members of the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe and Proyecto Melaza in Puerto Rico and Boston. Our Dance for Social Justice™ program uplifts collective action through dance, centering healing, resistance, and liberation. Since 2014, Danza Orgánica has produced the annual We Create Festival—a platform that has represented hundreds of artists locally, nationally, and internationally. The festival celebrates the voices of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists through a fellowship model rooted in peer exchange and artistic development. Guided by Afro-Caribbean, Indigenous Taíno, international, and immigrant leadership, Danza Orgánica envisions a world where dance ignites justice, cultural exchange, and lasting connection.
