vessel

Vessel is a dance theater piece commissioned by the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum- inspired by the exhibition: Life Death & Revelry.

Led by Marsha Parrilla, artistic director of Danza Orgánica- Vessel uses the Sarcophagus (Sacred Passage), and the history of the Transatlantic Slave Trade (Middle Passage), as a point of departure to explore and question historic narratives, and bring forth a fresh outlook on life, death and revelry.
